Sabine Chapter, NSDAR

Located in Many, Louisiana
Chapter Meetings - Third Saturday of the month
Meeting Time - 10 a.m.

The Sabine Chapter, NSDAR, was organized in 1959. The chapter name was selected to be inclusive of all the towns and communities in Sabine Parish.

The Sabine Chapter, NSDAR, promotes historic preservation, education, and patriotism by participating in projects throughout the community. Some of the highlights are:

  • recognizing a DAR Good Citizens awardee in each of the parish public schools.

  • visiting veterans in two local nursing homes.

  • supporting the local Fort Jesup Society of the Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.)

A favorite project of the chapter is joining with the Fort Jesup Society C.A.R. to place flags on the graves of veterans in the Fort Jesup Cemetery.

Please contact the chapter if you are interested in attending a meeting, as meeting times and locations vary.
