Loyalty Chapter, NSDAR

Alexandria, Louisiana

The Loyalty Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), holds a significant place in history. The chapter was organized on October 29, 1907, in the home of Mrs. John Overton in Alexandria, Louisiana, making it the second oldest chapter in the state.

Our chapter’s motto, “A man who does not respect his ancestors is unlikely to do deeds for which posterity will respect him,” reflects our deep-rooted connection to our past.

The Loyalty Chapter, NSDAR, proudly participates in the following programs:

  • Community Service Recognition

  • Constitution Week – U.S. Constitution booklets are supplied yearly to civics and American history students in Grant and Rapides Parish.

  • DAR Good Citizens Award

  • Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) Medals

  • Naturalization Ceremonies

  • Patriotic Holiday Ceremonies

  • Veteran Services

  • Wreaths Across America

Prospective members are advised to contact the chapter as meeting times and locations vary. Click here to contact the chapter for more information.
