Sabine Chapter

Located in Many, LA
Chapter Meetings- 3rd Saturday of the month
Meeting Time- 10:00am

The Sabine Chapter was organized in 1959. The chapter name was selected to be inclusive of all the towns and communities in Sabine Parish.

The Sabine Chapter promotes Historic Preservation, Education and Patriotism by participating in projects throughout the community. Some of the highlights are:

  • recognizing a DAR Good Citizen in each of the parish public schools.

  • visiting veterans in two local nursing homes.

  • supporting the local Children of the American Revolution Society- the Ft. Jesup Society.

A favorite project of the chapter is joining with the Ft. Jesup Society C.A.R. to place flags on the graves of veterans in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery.

Please contact the chapter if you are interested in attending a meeting, as meeting times and location vary.
